ANOTHER VICTORY IN OUR FIGHT AGAINST RAPE

Today, on May 23rd, 2024, the Federal High Court of Cross River State pronounced its verdict in the case against Prince Joseph Mark. He has been found guilty of sexually exploiting a six-year-old and an eleven-year-old child, resulting in a sentence of three years imprisonment. Additionally, he has been fined Two Hundred Thousand Naira as compensation to the survivors. This ruling follows his conviction on two out of the four charges he faced.

We extend our appreciation to the Federal High Court, the presiding Judge, Naptip, the correctional services, the prosecutors, and the dedicated team from Basic Rights Counsel Initiative for their unwavering dedication and commitment throughout the investigation and prosecution of this case.
